《SOMA》將給玩家帶來一種新的恐怖。《SOMA》的恐怖遊戲體驗不同於《失憶症：黑暗後裔》。製作團隊打算讓玩家有一種發自內心感覺到恐懼的遊戲體驗。
不同於傳統恐怖遊戲，如逃生、生化危機這類，遊戲中怪物並非真正的敵人，且並不常出現，奇特的是"怪物並不會造成太多的威脅性，
甚至遊戲要往下進行更需要它的協助呢! 至於怪物該如何使用還要等玩家自行去發掘~ 。更增添了遊戲中探索的樂趣。
另外值得一提的是遊戲預告的故事背景是描述一位女性懷念台北小吃，事件地點在我們熟悉的台北呢! 雖然場景人物還是沒有甚麼台灣味，介面也是英文...不過也算是給咱們台灣玩家一個耳目一新的遊戲體驗囉~
